Do you want to be a MODEL or ACTRESS?

We had a chance to catch up with models/actresses: twins Anais and Mirabelle! They agreed to answer a few questions for us and let us into their GLAM World!

The GLAM Girls give great insight into what it really takes to be a kid model/GLAMprenuer and what it takes to be successful.

MGGR:
We have been following you guys since you were maybe 3 years old. Tell us how old you are beautiful GLAMettes? Who’s the oldest?

GLAM Girls-:
Thank you for following us. That’s so cool. We started in this business at 3 years old as print models. Time has flown by so quickly. We are turning 10 years old on January 9th. Anais is the oldest by one minute.

MGGR:
You’ve grown so much and I see you are working very hard. Tell us how you guys got started in the modeling business?

GLAM Girls-:
It was really by luck. We were playing at the park with our babysitter and a man came over to us and gave the babysitter his card. He said he would love for us to model for his line – Llum. Little did we know that Llum is a high fashion children’s line. We loved modeling for them. Our mom took the photos from the Llum shoots and sent them to the New York agents. To our surprise, they called right away! We signed with Patti Fleischer at Generation Model Management and grew from there.

MGGR:
We notice you girls travel a lot for gigs. How do you balance it all? Are you home schooled?

GLAM Girls-:
So far we aren’t home schooled but if we get any busier we’re heading in that direction. We LOVE school because all of our friends are there and we just love our teachers. We have to miss a lot of school days but we always take our books and homework with us when we travel so we’re usually ahead. We want to be like actress Natalie Portman. She was receiving her Oscar while studying for exams at Harvard. That’s our dream.

MGGR:
I’m sure you girls were raised to support one another! That’s what sisterhood is all about! Tell us how you handle both sisters auditioning for a job and only one sister landing the job?

GLAM Girls-:
Sometimes if one of us gets a role we both went in for – there are tears but we love each other – we’re so happy if one of us wins a job. We usually bring home something nice from the job or buy each other something to cheer each other up.   We have different strengths so we learn from each other. The hardest part is when we have to travel and be apart from each other overnight. We Facetime each other like crazy.

MGGR:
What do you like to do for fun?

GLAM Girls-:
We love playdates with our friends. We go to the movies a lot and we like hanging out in our bedroom reading books or looking at “Seven Perfect Angels” and “May Baby” on Youtube. Mirabelle likes making potions and scientific experiments and Anais is always setting up a pretend nail or beauty salon. We have so much fun! We play with our Shih Tzu “Emerald” and take her to Pet Valu every week to groom her ourselves. She makes us very happy.

MGGR:
What advice would you give other GLAMprenuers out there trying to juggle a modeling career and maintain good grades?

GLAM Girls-:
Always have fun and stick close to your family and friends who will always be there for you when things get tough. We never ever turn down an audition or go see. We always want to go and do our very best. After our go sees, jobs or auditions, we study for our tests. We get really good grades because school work is important to us and we like to win in school too. We read A LOT. This helps us read scripts and commercial copy very quickly. Reading is important if you want to be a great actress.

MGGR:
Can you sometimes fill in for one another since you are twins?

GLAM Girls-:
Absolutely! There have been several times when one of us is busy booked on another job and we have to fill in for each other. Usually the client knows the difference but we both look the same so it is difficult for everyone to tell us apart. We shared roles on Veep, Madam Secretary and the movie Blood Ties. I bet you can’t tell which one of us is in which scene. 🙂 One time Anais was booked for Target and could not do a fun photo shoot with Shaquille O’ Neal for Toys R Us. Mirabelle covered for Anais and did the shoot with Shaq.

MGGR:
We wonder how the casting directors pick you girls for different gigs and you look exactly alike? Is it based on personality?

GLAM Girls-:
It has to be personality but we ask ourselves that too. Mirabelle is such a chatter box. She is funny and does so great with commercials and anything that has to do with dancing. Anais is a serious little actress. She does great with tv and film. Our main goal when we’re at auditions is to book it together. Everything is so much fun when we do it together.

MGGR:
What makes you a GLAM Girl That ROCKS?

GLAM Girls-:
We are super cool, kind to everybody, smart , pretty, we love and give to others, love animals, and most of all talented!!!!
